IMB5 Immobilizer Purpose
The purpose of the immobilizer "TELTONIKA IMB5" is car theft prevention.
- The driver is identified when the ID card is present inside the communication area.
- If no ID card is present, the device prevents engine start or shuts down the running engine.
- Up to 5 ID cards and one radio relay (IMB6) can be paired with the System unit.

Entering Service Mode
The Service Mode can be activated if the ID card is lost, the battery is discharged, or the car is being repaired. It is activated by entering a PIN code.
- Factory preset PIN: Printed on the immobilizer sticker.
- PIN entering logic:

Steps to enter PIN (Example 2113):
- By Ignition: Turn ignition ON/OFF and count System LED flashes. Wait for double flashes to confirm each digit.
- By Button: Press and hold the button for 1 second for each unit of the digit (e.g., press 2 times for digit "2").
- After the last digit, wait for Triple flashes to enter Pairing Mode or Quadruple flashes for Service Mode.
Available Immobilizer Settings (FN Functions)
The IMB5 can be adjusted to specific vehicle requirements by changing these settings:

Pairing ID Cards
- Enter the PIN code for IMB5.
- Within the 2-second interval when the LED blinks with triple flashes, turn the ignition ON and OFF.
- Press and hold the button on the new ID card (must be in passive/orange mode).
- A 1-second flash indicates the ID card is successfully paired.
- Note: All previously paired ID cards are deleted when the first new one is paired.
Safety Warning
The user MUST change the PIN code after the installation and do not save it inside the car.
Changing Settings (FN and SN)
The IMB5 can be adjusted to specific requirements by changing System settings. This is done by entering the function number (FN) and then the setting number (SN).
Step 1: Entering Function Number (FN)

Preparation:
- Switch ID card to passive (orange) mode.
- Enter the PIN code (see Entering Service Mode).
- Wait 3 seconds with ignition OFF until the LED starts blinking in frequent flashes. You now have 80 seconds to start.
Step 2: Changing Setting Number (SN)


How to change settings:
- Option 1 (Ignition Key): Use the ignition ON/OFF to enter digits. For example, to enter FN21: 2 turns (wait for double flash), then 1 turn.
- Option 2 (Authorization Button): Press the button according to the digits (e.g., 2 presses, 1 second pause, 1 press).
- Confirmation: A short buzzer sound confirms the FN is entered. A long buzzer sound (2-3 seconds) shows that valid SN is entered successfully.
Exit: Enter FN11 to leave the service mode.
