IMB5 Vehicle Immobilizer
The IMB5 is a trusted standalone vehicle immobilizer designed to prevent unauthorized engine start via secure Driver Identification. Using encrypted 2.4 GHz radio communication, the system blocks the engine unless a paired electronic ID card is detected inside the vehicle.
The system features advanced anti-theft logic, including automatic arming and anti-carjack modes, making it an essential layer of security that operates independently of standard factory alarms.
Key Benefits
- Driver Identification: The system prevents the engine from starting if the driver is not identified. It utilizes a 2.4 GHz encrypted wireless link between the main unit and the compact ID card (transponder key).
- Automatic Post-Ignition Protection: Automatic engine blocking is activated 40 seconds after the ignition is switched off. This ensures continuous protection even if the driver forgets to lock the vehicle, eliminating the risk of unauthorized engine restart.
- Advanced Anti-Carjack: Features multiple anti-carjack modes triggered by door opening or ignition status. If the ID card is not detected while the engine is running, the system initiates a countdown (with buzzer warnings) before safely shutting down the engine.
- Emergency Override: Includes a user-changeable 4-digit PIN code feature. If the ID card is lost or the battery fails, the system can be disarmed using a secret button or the ignition key sequence.
